Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the development and delivery of its strategic plan and oversee day-to-day operations. The CEO will work with the Board to shape the organization’s direction, manage resources and budgets, and ensure strong governance, legal compliance, and effective policies and controls. Responsibilities include inspiring and uniting staff and volunteers, building partnerships, strengthening the organization’s profile, and communicating its mission to internal and external stakeholders. The CEO will also foster an inclusive, accountable culture and guide the organization’s continued development and international impact. Candidates should bring a proven record of senior leadership, strategic delivery, fundraising, and financial management, ideally in an international and not-for-profit environment. They should have experience building and managing teams, working effectively with boards, and influencing diverse stakeholders through clear, persuasive communication. Strong relationship-building, sound judgment, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. Compassion for animals and the communities connected to their welfare is important; experience as a nonprofit CEO, change management, and relevant government or sector networks are desirable.
