Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Engineering

The Company is in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to serve as the Global Head of Engineering. The successful candidate will be a senior technical leader responsible for overseeing the engineering and technology strategy across a diverse portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company's large-scale renewable and hybrid generation assets are technically robust, commercially viable, and capable of operating reliably within increasingly complex grid conditions. The CTO will lead a team of specialist engineers, set engineering standards, and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle, from early-stage development to operational handover. Key areas of focus include electrical engineering, power systems, grid integration, and renewable generation technology, with a particular emphasis on the integration of large inverter-based renewable generation into utility networks. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, power electronics, or a related discipline, with over 20 years' experience in the field, including 7-10 years in a senior engineering or technical leadership position. Essential experience includes a strong foundation in power systems and renewable generation, extensive work with utility-scale renewable generation, and a deep understanding of electrical power systems and grid integration. The CTO will be expected to have a proven track record in leading technical teams, making technically robust decisions, and managing complex technical issues. Desirable experience includes working with renewable portfolios exceeding 1GW, experience in weak-grid environments, and familiarity with international grid codes and standards. The role also requires the ability to identify and assess emerging technologies, represent the company at technical forums, and manage relationships with a range of technical stakeholders.
