Vice President of Procurement

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Procurement to lead product procurement and support organizational goals and profitability. Responsibilities include negotiating programs and pricing with vendors, managing inventory levels to balance cash flow and service, and overseeing vendor bill-back and inbound freight programs. The role also involves hiring, training, coaching, and managing staff; improving purchasing procedures and productivity; and maintaining responsive, effective relationships with customers and vendors. The Vice President may also oversee marketing and merchandising activities. Candidates should have a diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, along with seven or more years of related experience preferred. Experience in food or grocery distribution is an advantage, as is a strong understanding of the foodservice industry. The role calls for skills in vendor negotiation, inventory management, team leadership, and process improvement.
