Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Greater San Jose, CA Area

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for its medical services. The CMO will oversee clinical practices, advance quality and patient safety, strengthen patient experience, and support provider development, workforce effectiveness, financial stewardship, and organizational growth. Responsibilities include guiding clinical strategy, supervising assigned staff, and collaborating with executive leaders, clinical teams, and community partners to improve care delivery. The role also promotes accessible, comprehensive, culturally responsive, and patient-centered healthcare. Candidates must hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and be licensed to practice medicine in California. At least seven years of experience as a licensed physician in a community clinic setting and five years in a leadership or management role are required. Primary care proficiency, sound clinical judgment, collaborative multidisciplinary leadership, and a strong commitment to advocating for patients and providers are essential. A master’s degree in healthcare management, formal healthcare administration or medical care management training, community health center experience, value-based care experience, and English-Spanish bilingualism are preferred.
