Vice President, Group Legal & Compliance Analytics Greater Singapore Area

The Company is seeking a Senior Data Scientist with a focus on machine learning and data analytics to join their Group Legal, Compliance, and Secretariat (LCS) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving various data science and machine learning initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the company's financial crime surveillance processes and controls. This role requires a deep understanding of machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling, with a strong emphasis on hands-on development of AI/ML solutions. The Senior Data Scientist will work closely with senior management, business users, and technology partners to co-develop and execute the strategy for applying AI/ML in the legal and compliance domain. Key responsibilities include owning and executing machine learning products regionally, conceptualizing and delivering analytics models for financial crime, legal, and compliance, and ensuring adherence to the company's governance policy in AI/ML industrialization. The ideal candidate should have a degree in a relevant field, at least 8 years of working experience, and be proficient in Python, PySpark, SQL, and various ML and data visualization tools. Experience in end-to-end data science projects, developing ML pipelines, and a strong ability to analyze business needs and drive the adoption of solutions are essential. Familiarity with legal and compliance issues in complex banking organizations is a plus. The role also involves providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and requires excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
