Associate Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer Greater Springfield, MA Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer to grow commercial lending and deposit relationships while managing an existing business loan portfolio. Responsibilities include developing new business, advising members on financing and cash management options, evaluating applications, conducting due diligence, and making or recommending credit decisions. The role also involves structuring and closing loans, monitoring portfolio quality, maintaining current credit files, managing renewals and delinquencies, and preparing credit analyses and production reports. The officer will build community relationships, resolve inquiries, support collections, and ensure lending activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Candidates should have at least five years of commercial lending experience, including loan analysis, underwriting, proposal preparation, and portfolio management; experience with commercial and commercial real estate transactions is valuable. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent direct experience in commercial credit or lending. Applicants should understand relevant banking regulations and demonstrate strong financial analysis, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, sound judgment, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with limited supervision are required.
