Associate Vice President, Asia Pacific Finance Group Greater Sydney, Australia Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for its Asia Pacific Finance Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial analysis team to provide strategic insights and support executive decision-making. This role involves ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all financial reporting requirements, maintaining a robust financial control environment, and leading regulatory engagement activities. The AVP will also be tasked with monitoring the financial and statutory performance, overseeing tax-related returns and regulatory filings, and supporting the implementation of new accounting standards and strategic projects. Applicants must be CPA/CA qualified with a degree in accountancy, finance, or a related discipline, and have a strong background in general insurance finance, regulatory reporting, and financial controls. A proactive and highly organized individual with advanced Excel skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and a focus on driving efficiencies is essential. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence outcomes and develop high-performing teams. A commercial mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and a good understanding of insurance performance drivers are also key qualifications for this position.
