Interim General Counsel, Part-Time Greater Singapore Area + 2 more

The Company is seeking a part-time General Counsel to provide practical legal support across its funds, investments, investment community, and corporate group. The role focuses on private capital transactions, particularly corporate and M&A matters, while also covering fund documentation, investor onboarding, regulatory compliance, governance, and commercial contracts. Responsibilities include advising on investment documents, supporting board and committee processes, maintaining legal templates, and coordinating external counsel. The General Counsel will work closely with leadership and investment teams, helping the business manage risk while moving efficiently. Candidates must be admitted as a lawyer in an Australian jurisdiction and hold, or be eligible for, a current practising certificate, with at least five years of post-qualification experience. Strong corporate and M&A experience is required; backgrounds in venture capital, private equity, funds management, financial services, or corporate governance are valuable. Applicants should bring excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and commercial judgment, along with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and provide clear, practical advice. Attention to detail, comfort using AI tools, and an interest in startups and innovation are also sought; familiarity with Singapore corporate or funds regulation is an advantage.
