Interim Senior Legal Officer

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Officer to provide practical legal advice across its operations, with a focus on administrative law, statutory interpretation, and applying legislation in an operational setting. Responsibilities include advising on statutory powers, functions, and obligations; researching complex or novel legal issues; and preparing clear written advice, briefings, correspondence, and submissions. The role also involves working closely with senior legal colleagues and stakeholders to ensure operational activities comply with the relevant legislative framework. Applicants must be admitted to practise as a lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction and have approximately three to four or more years of post-admission experience. Strong administrative law and statutory interpretation expertise, along with excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, is required. Experience in government, regulatory, or statutory environments is advantageous; lawyers from private practice with relevant government advisory experience are also encouraged to apply.
