The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving the technology strategy and ensuring the seamless delivery of a high-scale, mission-critical platform. This role demands a leader who can foster a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous delivery, while also partnering closely with product and business leadership to achieve ambitious goals. Key responsibilities for the VP R&D include leading and scaling a high-performing engineering team, managing the technical vision and architecture to support massive scale and future business needs, and overseeing the end-to-end engineering delivery process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and scaling engineering organizations, a deep technical background in building large-scale, highly available systems, and a strong familiarity with the company's tech stack ecosystem. Experience in hyper-growth startups, particularly in B2B SaaS, FinTech, or gaming infrastructure, is highly valued, as is a background in high-volume transactional systems or payment processing platforms.
