Associate Vice President, Client Relations, Client Group Greater Tokyo, Japan Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Client Relations within the Institutional Japan Client Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all client-related activities, serving as the central point of contact for both internal teams and external institutional clients, and ensuring that client needs are consistently met or exceeded. This role requires regular interaction with clients and collaboration with a range of internal departments, including sales, portfolio management, business development, operations, client reporting, legal, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the asset management industry, strong attention to detail, analytical capability, and excellent communication skills. A proactive mindset, sense of responsibility, and the ability to thrive in a challenging macro environment are also essential. Key responsibilities for the role include providing client service to existing institutional clients in Japan, collaborating with internal stakeholders to address client requests, and overseeing the smooth progression of client relationships. The role also involves organizing and participating in client meetings, preparing client servicing and prospecting materials, and supporting regular and ad hoc client reporting requirements. The candidate should have at least 5 years' of prior relevant work experience, with a preference for those who have 1-2 years' in client servicing within the asset management industry. Strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are necessary, as is a dynamic, self-starting approach to work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business-level English is critical, with a professional qualification such as CFA or CMA being favorable.
