Executive Director, Pricing

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Pricing, a pivotal role that involves supporting the Chief Pricing Actuary in managing reinsurance quotations. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth risk analyses, providing financial quantification, and delivering actuarial recommendations. This role also includes driving the enhancement of risk understanding, developing pricing bases, and engaging in R&D activities. The Executive Director will have significant managerial and coaching responsibilities, ensuring the development of the pricing team, and will be expected to lead initiatives for process improvements and best practices. Applicants must have a Fellowship with IAJ or an equivalent professional body, a minimum of 15 years' experience in life insurance with a strong knowledge of Japanese life insurance products, and be proficient in both Japanese and English. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required, with experience in AXIS being a plus. The ideal candidate will have a background in reinsurance and/or life insurance pricing, possess strong decision-making skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead cross-functional projects. A proactive, team-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate commercial implications from numerical analysis to non-technical personnel are essential for this role.
