Executive Director, Pricing

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Pricing team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Chief Pricing Actuary and managing reinsurance quotations within the pricing function. This role involves conducting in-depth risk analyses, providing financial quantification, and delivering actuarial recommendations. The Executive Director will also be responsible for driving the enhancement of risk understanding, developing pricing bases, and engaging in R&D activities. A key aspect of the position is the managerial and coaching responsibilities, including fostering the development of team members and ensuring compliance with best practices. Applicants must have a Fellowship with IAJ or an equivalent professional body, a minimum of 15 years' experience in life insurance with a strong knowledge of Japanese life insurance products, and be proficient in both Japanese and English. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required, with experience in AXIS being a plus. The ideal candidate will have a background in reinsurance and/or life insurance pricing, possess strong decision-making skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead cross-functional projects. A proactive, team-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate commercial implications from numerical analysis to non-technical personnel are essential for this role.
