Head of R&D

The Company is seeking a Head of R&D to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering department. Responsibilities include developing team leaders, setting priorities, allocating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring agreed outcomes. The role will improve collaboration and processes across engineering teams, support strategic goals through long-term planning and OKRs, and identify capability gaps to guide team development. The Head of R&D will work closely with senior leadership and other teams to align priorities, manage expectations, and represent the department. Candidates should have leadership experience in engineering, R&D, or technology product development, along with a technical understanding of complex products that combine electronics, mechanics, and software. They should understand the development lifecycle from concept and prototyping through testing, integration, and production readiness. Strong organizational and people-management skills are essential, including the ability to set priorities, delegate, provide feedback, and lead highly qualified specialists. The role also requires sound judgment, a pragmatic approach to improving evolving processes, effective communication and collaboration, and professional English proficiency.
