Interim Head of Quality

The Company is seeking an Interim Head of Quality to provide leadership and strategic oversight during a major quality improvement and remediation programme. The role leads a multidisciplinary Quality function spanning quality assurance, quality control, microbiology, quality systems, validation, and compliance. Responsibilities include directing concurrent remediation initiatives, addressing product quality issues and recalls, and strengthening governance, operational processes, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders and external consultants, support senior Quality recruitment, and keep executive leadership informed of progress, risks, and priorities while fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Candidates should bring extensive senior Quality leadership experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and a proven record of leading complex remediation, turnaround, or transformation programmes. They must have experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and strong working knowledge of GMP, regulatory inspections, quality systems, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience with recalls, investigations, and corrective and preventive action programmes is essential, as is prior experience in an equivalent senior interim or permanent leadership role. Strong communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and hands-on leadership skills are required; additional European language skills are advantageous.
