Associate Vice President, AI & ML Applications Remote (anywhere in Delaware)

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, AI & ML Applications, to lead enterprise-wide AI strategy and delivery. The role will develop the AI/ML capability roadmap, establish responsible governance and safeguards, and guide investment and build-versus-partner decisions. The successful candidate will oversee teams delivering production-grade generative, agentic, and predictive AI solutions across research, development, commercial, and operational functions. Responsibilities also include building a high-performing team and operating model, advancing enterprise AI training and adoption, advising senior stakeholders, and managing budgets and external partnerships. Candidates should have an advanced degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field; a PhD is preferred. Required experience includes 10 or more years in relevant roles, at least five years in biomedical or life sciences, seven years of people management, and a record of deploying enterprise-scale AI solutions and contributing to AI governance. Strong communication, strategic judgment, stakeholder management, ethical decision-making, and budget stewardship are essential. Hands-on application development, technical leadership, architecture experience, and peer-reviewed AI/ML publications are desirable.
