Senior Legal Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide trusted, commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across a European region. Responsibilities include advising on day-to-day matters, leading complex cross-functional legal work, coordinating specialist input, and managing external counsel when needed. The role will review and negotiate insurance policy wordings and commercial contracts, support product development, and provide legal guidance on multinational insurance programs. It will also advise on distribution and delegated-authority arrangements, operational and business services contracts, strategic partnerships, and regulatory matters. Candidates must be qualified lawyers with relevant professional credentials and substantial insurance-sector experience across multiple lines of business, including expert knowledge of EU insurance law and regulation. Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills are required, along with fluency in English and either German or Dutch; additional regional language skills are an advantage. The ideal candidate takes a proactive, collaborative approach and can provide clear, risk-based advice while working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
