Interim Head of Technical Finance

The Company is seeking an Interim Head of Technical Finance to provide senior financial leadership and technical expertise. Responsibilities include leading budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting, as well as supporting statutory accounts and year-end processes. The role ensures compliance with relevant public-sector finance regulations and accounting standards, and partners with senior stakeholders to support sound financial decisions. It also involves leading and developing a high-performing finance team and advancing key financial priorities. Candidates should hold a CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification and bring extensive local government finance experience. Strong technical accounting knowledge and a proven record of leading finance teams and delivering financial improvements are required. The successful candidate will be able to quickly contribute in an interim leadership role.
