Trustee, Charity Fundraising (Board-level role)
Hiring Company
About the Role
Remote (anywhere in United Kingdom)
The Company is seeking a Trustee for Charity Fundraising to join its Board. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to support seriously ill children and their families. This voluntary position requires a commitment of approximately 12-15 days per year, including Board and committee meetings, preparation, and engagement with the charity. The ideal Trustee will bring significant experience in fundraising and income generation, with a deep understanding of the strategies, opportunities, and challenges involved in building sustainable voluntary income. They should be able to contribute to the development of successful fundraising programs, and have the ability to offer strategic judgment on fundraising performance, investment, risk, and governance. Candidates for the Trustee position should be prepared to engage with complex questions about long-term income growth and the evolving fundraising landscape. The role demands a candidate who is curious, thoughtful, and collaborative, and who can provide an independent perspective while recognizing the expertise of the executive team. While personal fundraising contacts are not the primary focus, the Trustee's value will lie in their knowledge, experience, and judgment. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the charity's wider strategy and long-term success, beyond the fundraising aspect. This is an opportunity to be part of an ambitious, high-performing charity and to help drive progress for seriously ill children beyond the hospital.
