Associate Vice President, Property Claims Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking an AVP Property Claims to join their Claims Advocacy and Insight team. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in property claims, with a focus on managing claims to ensure positive outcomes for clients. This role involves close collaboration with the Claims and Operations department, as well as the development of comprehensive written responses to coverage rebuttal position letters. The AVP will be responsible for communicating with insurance carriers' claims departments, drafting coverage rebuttal letters, and providing technical support to broker teams on coverage issues. Additionally, the role requires the ability to mediate claims issues, stay abreast of industry developments, and advise on policy wording solutions. Applicants for the AVP Property Claims position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' of commercial property claims experience, with a background in handling high-value or severe property claims. Experience in inland marine and ocean marine claims is a plus. The role demands advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a proactive approach to business strategy. A Claims Adjuster License is also a desirable qualification. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and functional skills in the insurance industry, commercial property insurance, claims, and insurance regulations, as well as behavioral skills in problem-solving, communication, time management, attention to detail, and relationship building.
