Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead its enterprise security, cybersecurity risk, and privacy programs. The CISO will set security strategy and governance, oversee risk and compliance programs, and guide protection of sensitive information across cloud services, products, and business operations. Responsibilities include leading security operations and incident response, strengthening application and cloud security, managing third-party risk, and overseeing audit readiness and regulatory assurance. The role will also establish AI security and governance practices, advise executive leadership and the Board, and build a scalable security organization and culture. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, 8–10 years of progressive security or technology-risk experience, and at least five years in senior security leadership. Required experience includes building enterprise security programs, managing regulated-data obligations such as HIPAA, leading audits and material incident response, and establishing AI security or governance practices. Strong knowledge of cloud and SaaS security, application security, identity, encryption, and third-party risk is essential, along with excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills. Relevant certifications and experience with security frameworks, AI/ML security, and customer assurance are preferred.
