Associate Vice President, University Advancement

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of University Advancement to serve as a key member of its advancement leadership team and operational partner to the Vice President. The role oversees daily advancement operations, aligning fundraising, alumni engagement, donor stewardship, and supporting functions with institutional priorities. Responsibilities include improving processes, developing staff, setting measurable goals, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The Associate Vice President will also manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, support significant philanthropic opportunities, and help prepare for a comprehensive fundraising campaign. Additional priorities include strengthening alumni engagement, using performance data to improve results, and building partnerships across the institution. Candidates should have approximately 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, advancement, or a related field, including leadership and staff management. They must demonstrate success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors while managing an active portfolio. Experience with comprehensive campaign planning, prospect development, and operational management is required. The role also calls for familiarity with fundraising technology, donor databases, performance metrics, and reporting systems. Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills, along with a collaborative, adaptable leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement, are essential.
