Vice President of Real Estate Development & Housing

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Real Estate Development & Housing to lead large-scale development initiatives, including mixed-use and mixed-income projects. The role oversees land acquisition and the property portfolio, capital projects, financial performance, and homeowner services. Responsibilities include coordinating consultants and contractors, monitoring project budgets, schedules, financing, and compliance, and supporting project planning, construction oversight, and financial closeout. The VP also partners with internal teams on grant preparation, homebuyer counseling, staff development, and community outreach, while building relationships with financial partners and other stakeholders. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience in real estate development, construction, affordable housing, and management. Required expertise includes large-scale mixed-use or mixed-income development, land acquisition, real estate transactions, project finance, property management, and analysis of financial reports and budgets. Knowledge of affordable housing programs and public financing tools, including HUD, New Markets Tax Credits, LIHTC, TIF, and grant-funded projects, is important. The role also calls for proven people leadership, strong communication and organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate complex projects and build effective partnerships.
