Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive to provide strategic leadership for a large, complex healthcare organization and serve as its accountable officer. The role involves working with the board, executive team, colleagues, and partners to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care while improving performance and supporting long-term clinical and financial sustainability. The Chief Executive will lead system-wide transformation, strengthen prevention and early intervention, address health inequalities, and help people access appropriate care closer to home. Building trusted partnerships across communities and the wider health and care system, while contributing to national-level leadership, will also be central to the position. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, credible, values-led leader with the strategic ability and resilience to lead through complexity and significant change. They will have a record of leading large organizations or systems, translating strategy into measurable improvements, driving transformation, and maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and patient experience. The role also calls for inclusive team leadership, effective partnership-building, cultural change, responsible management of significant resources, and influence at board, system, and national levels. An authentic, visible, and compassionate leadership style is essential.
