Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer to develop and manage business relationships, sell and service commercial loans and deposit accounts, and meet sales and service goals. Responsibilities include prospecting and interviewing business clients, gathering financial information, underwriting or coordinating the underwriting of commercial loans, and presenting loan requests for approval when appropriate. The officer will review loan documentation, ensure files are complete before closing, resolve exceptions, and monitor relationships, renewals, and risk. The role also includes growing treasury management deposits, cross-selling relevant services, supporting collections, and mentoring staff in identifying business opportunities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of commercial lending experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required qualifications include credit and underwriting expertise, knowledge of business lending laws and regulations, and a record of generating new customers. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality. Candidates should also be able to learn relevant systems and comply with applicable policies and regulations.
