Facility Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Greater Grand Rapids, MI Area

The Company is seeking a Facility Chief Executive Officer to lead the hospital’s overall administration and operations, including strategic planning, financial management, quality improvement, human resources, and day-to-day service delivery. The CEO will work with the board and leadership team to set organizational direction, develop budgets and long-range plans, and ensure effective staffing, policies, and operational performance. Responsibilities include overseeing clinical and support functions, maintaining regulatory and accreditation compliance, and promoting safe, high-quality, cost-effective care. The role also involves building relationships with staff, physicians, community partners, and public agencies, while guiding emergency preparedness and organizational change. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or a clinical discipline; a master’s degree is preferred. At least three years of hospital leadership or CEO experience in behavioral health or acute care is required. Experience leading organizational turnarounds and directing crisis or inpatient behavioral health services is preferred. Strong communication, decision-making, planning, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to manage complex operational issues and uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and applicable regulations.
