Associate Vice President, Enterprise Laboratory Services

The Company is seeking an executive leader to set strategy and oversee enterprise laboratory services, including blood banking, donor testing, reference laboratory services, quality testing, and molecular testing. The role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into operating plans, budgets, and performance measures; standardizing practices; and ensuring reliable, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations. The leader will oversee quality and regulatory readiness, partner with medical and scientific leaders, manage financial and capital planning, and develop laboratory leadership and workforce capabilities. Additional responsibilities include sponsoring technology and continuous-improvement initiatives, managing operational risks and business continuity, and advising executive leadership on laboratory performance and priorities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific, laboratory, healthcare, or business field; a master’s degree is strongly preferred. At least 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in blood banking, transfusion medicine, clinical laboratory services, or a related environment is required, including five or more years leading senior managers or multiple laboratory functions. Applicants should bring experience with complex regulated operations, budgets and capital planning, organizational change, and measurable improvements in quality, productivity, service, or financial performance. Strong knowledge of laboratory operations and regulatory compliance, strategic and financial acumen, data-driven decision-making, and executive communication skills are essential. A recognized laboratory credential and experience with laboratory systems, automation, analytics, or process-improvement methods are preferred.
