Academic Dean, Hospitality School

The Company is seeking an Academic Dean to provide strategic and operational leadership for a growing hospitality school. The Dean will shape the school’s direction and performance, with student experience, engagement, retention, attainment, and progression at the center of decision-making. Responsibilities include leading and developing a large academic workforce, embedding inclusive and applied teaching approaches, and using data to improve outcomes and meet performance targets. The role also involves maintaining academic quality and regulatory compliance, while building partnerships that support the school’s reputation and growth. Candidates should have significant senior academic leadership experience in higher education and a strong record of improving student outcomes, academic quality, and organizational performance. They should have experience leading large, diverse teams through growth and change, along with expertise in data-informed planning, KPI management, and continuous improvement. A deep understanding of widening participation and inclusive pedagogy, strong knowledge of UK higher education quality and regulatory frameworks, and relevant academic and professional credibility in the discipline are required. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, resilient, and committed to supporting a diverse student community.
