Head of IT Portfolio

The Company is seeking Heads of IT Portfolio to lead the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives across assigned business units. Responsibilities include shaping technology roadmaps with business leaders, managing demand and prioritization, developing project scopes and business cases, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects from initiation through operational handover and benefits realization. The role leads multidisciplinary delivery teams, manages budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, vendors, and performance, and intervenes to resolve challenged projects. It also requires clear executive reporting, effective governance, and coordination with central portfolio functions. Candidates should have senior experience in enterprise IT portfolio management or technology delivery, ideally in sectors such as utilities, telecommunications, transport, infrastructure, or other complex service environments. They should demonstrate ownership of portfolios spanning strategy through operational handover, strong financial and resource management, and experience leading project managers and technical specialists. Key skills include demand management, prioritization, business case development, vendor and commercial management, executive communication, and stakeholder engagement. Project or portfolio management certification and experience supporting major bids or working across multiple business units are advantageous.
