Dean, Colin Powell School for Civic & Global Leadership

The Company seeks a Dean to lead its social sciences division and guide its academic, public service, business, psychology, and leadership development programs. The Dean will oversee the division’s operations and strengthen its profile, visibility, and effectiveness. Responsibilities include setting short- and long-term plans; managing academic program planning, faculty matters, staffing, budgets, and facilities; and fostering excellence in teaching, research, and intellectual achievement. The Dean will also build partnerships within and beyond the institution and advance programs that connect academic learning with career and experiential opportunities. Candidates must hold an earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree and have a distinguished record of scholarship, research, and teaching suitable for appointment as a tenured full professor in a relevant department. Significant administrative experience is required, along with demonstrated leadership in developing academic programs into recognized successes. The role calls for strong advocacy and partnership-building abilities. Experience leading effective development and fundraising activities is highly desirable.
