This role at Razorfish will serve as a member of Publicis Groupe's strategic internal agency, Constellation.
Constellation serves as an internal-facing brand formed by a collective of Publicis Groupe agencies to address our client's creative, data, strategy, media, and technology requirements. Team members collaborate across agencies while functioning as sub-divisions within their respective brands to provide dedicated support for the client. By acting as a unified interface, Constellation eliminates operational silos and presents a single service entity and primary point of contact for the client.
Overview
Constellation is Publicis Groupe's dedicated team for Samsung, bringing together data, consumer insight, strategy, media, CRM, technology, activation, and measurement in service of a single client. The Senior Vice President, Head of Audience sits within Constellation and is accountable for Audience across the Samsung business: deciding which audiences matter, why, and how they are built, activated, and improved by Constellation's teams.
This is a senior strategic leadership role, not a coordination role: turning Samsung business priorities and consumer understanding into audience choices that improve marketing effectiveness and create measurable business value.
The SVP will consolidate today's separate audience teams, spread across different capabilities, into one Audience team of approximately 10–20 people, built around the Samsung Audience Hub (SAH). They will work in close partnership with the Audience Program Lead: the SVP owns the strategy and the standards; the Program Lead owns the transformation plan and roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Audience vision and strategy: Set the Audience vision, objectives, and strategic framework for Samsung, grounded in business priorities, consumer behavior, and category dynamics. Make the hard calls on which audiences matter most, and why.• Audience architecture: Own audience segmentation, prioritization, taxonomy, and use cases, so there is one consistent line from strategic audience definition to addressable execution, including the GTM Core, GTM Mass, and GTM Activation planning audiences and the annual Business Growth Segments.• Integrated activation: Carry audience strategy through media, addressable, CRM, commerce, social, web, app, and other owned channels, with a clear role for each.• Data, identity, and technology: Own the Samsung Audience Hub (SAH) as the center of the Audience system: its capability roadmap, governance, and shift toward self-service, reducing dependence on individual experts and external partners. Partner with Strategy, Media, Data & Analytics, and Technology on data, identity, clean rooms, and platform partners, and set the audience requirements they build against.• Measurement and learning: Own audience-level measurement (audience performance, segment value, and test-and-learn), working with Data & Analytics, who own the wider marketing measurement framework, to ensure results feed back into audience strategy and activation.• Operating model: Define decision rights, roles, workflows, and handoffs across Strategy, Media, Data & Analytics, CRM, Creative, Technology, and Activation; remove duplication and keep governance light.• Client leadership: Be a trusted senior advisor to Samsung stakeholders: bring clarity to complex audience, data, and activation choices, take clear positions, and build commitment behind an integrated approach.• Capability leadership: Set the standard for strategic excellence, develop senior and emerging talent, close capability gaps, and shape the future Audience organization.• Innovation and partnerships: Evaluate data, media, identity, research, and technology partners, and back innovation only where it shows clear client value, not novelty.
Qualifications
Experience and capabilities• 15+ years in audience, media, data-driven marketing, or customer strategy, including substantial senior leadership in an agency, consultancy, platform, or complex client organization.• A track record of building audience strategies that connect consumer and business insight to media planning, addressable activation, CRM, and personalization, and that delivered measurable outcomes.• Deep, current understanding of audience and data ecosystems, including first-party data, identity, data collaboration and clean rooms, media platforms, activation partners, and privacy-aware marketing practices.• Strength across the three core skills of the future Audience team, Data Fluency, Platform Enablement, and Audience Intelligence, and the ability to build them across a consolidated team.• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and align senior stakeholders across Strategy, Media, Data & Analytics, CRM, Creative, Technology, and Delivery, including teams that do not report into the role.• Experience designing practical operating models, standards, and governance that make decisions faster and better without adding bureaucracy.• Executive presence, and the ability to explain complex audience, data, and technology topics in plain commercial terms to senior client stakeholders.• Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to prioritize investment and tie Audience decisions directly to marketing effectiveness and business growth.
What success looks like at 12 months• Samsung sees Audience as a strategic advantage, and its senior marketers come to the SVP first on audience decisions.• Audience choices visibly shape where Samsung invests and how it goes to market, not just how campaigns are targeted.• Audience is delivering business results that Samsung can point to and attribute to the work.• There is one Audience team, built around SAH, with a clear point of view and the credibility to hold it with the client and across Constellation.• Audience has become one of the main reasons Samsung values Constellation.
