Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment to lead legal support across labor, employment, benefits, safety, and immigration matters. Responsibilities include advising business units and executives on disputes, investigations, negotiations, compliance, and litigation risks; overseeing litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and agency matters; and representing the organization in legal proceedings when appropriate. The role also manages outside counsel, directs a team of attorneys and legal professionals, supports their development, and oversees matter assessments and budgets. Candidates must hold an LLB or JD from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdictions, and have at least 12 years of professional experience with recognized expertise in their specialty. Extensive knowledge of courts, regulatory agencies, and applicable legal entities is required, along with strategic judgment, project management, and experience supervising professionals. Preferred qualifications include leading legal teams, managing outside counsel, and using AI-enabled tools responsibly for legal research and analysis. Experience with government litigation, energy or utility industries, and advising employers on strategic initiatives is also valued.
