Chief of Staff Greater Wroclaw, Poland Area

About Unit8

Unit8 is a fast-growing European data and AI services company helping leading organizations turn data, analytics, and AI into business value. We work across industries such as financial services, pharma, manufacturing, chemicals, insurance, energy, and logistics, combining deep technical expertise with pragmatic delivery.

The Mission

As Unit8 continues to scale, the Leadership Team needs stronger operating leverage, sharper decision-making rhythms, and clearer cross-functional execution. We are hiring a Chief of Staff to the Leadership Team to help make that happen.

Your mission is to help the Leadership Team work better together, make decisions faster, communicate more clearly, and execute the company’s most important priorities with discipline.

This is a newly shaped role at the center of Unit8's next phase of scale. You'll report directly to the GM.

What You’ll Own:

Run and continuously improve the Leadership Team operating cadence: weekly meetings, quarterly business reviews, annual planning, offsites, decision forums, and follow-ups.

Shape Leadership agendas so time is spent on the most important strategic and operational topics.

Build and run a disciplined system of record for company priorities, decisions, owners, and risks.

Drive cross-functional initiatives where ownership is unclear or where multiple teams need alignment.

Help translate Unit8’s strategy into measurable goals, KPIs, operating plans, and communication routines.

Improve the flow of information between the Leadership Team and the broader organization.

Prepare sharp, executive-ready materials for leadership discussions, board/investor updates, strategic planning, and company-wide communication.

Coordinate corporate governance across Unit8 SA and its subsidiaries, organize annual shareholder meetings and prepare board minutes and resolutions

Surface organizational bottlenecks, misalignments, and unresolved trade-offs early, then help resolve them constructively.

Act as a trusted thought partner to the GM and Leadership Team on operating model, priorities, and execution.

Temporarily step into coordination or oversight gaps when needed, while helping define the right long-term owner.

What Success Looks LikeIn the first 6-12 months, success means:

The Leadership Team has a clear and reliable operating rhythm.

Strategic priorities are visible, measurable, and actively managed.

Leadership meetings become more focused, decision-oriented, and accountable.

Cross-functional initiatives move faster because owners, dependencies, and next steps are clear.

Company-level communication becomes more consistent and aligned.

The GM and Leadership Team spend less time chasing follow-ups and more time on high-leverage decisions.

Unit8’s scaling pains are converted into repeatable systems, not one-off fixes.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of professional experience as a strategy consultant, Head of Operations, Chief of Staff, Founder’s associate, BizOps, or a comparable high-ambiguity role in a consultancy, start-up, or scaling technology company.

Strong structured problem-solving skills and the ability to turn messy topics and cross-functional initiatives into clear options, recommendations, and drive their implementation

Excellent facilitation skills, especially with senior stakeholders and cross-functional groups.

High trust, discretion, and maturity when working with sensitive business and people topics.

Strong written communication: crisp memos, executive-ready slides, clear meeting notes, and concise company updates.

Strong analytical ability; comfortable with KPIs, business performance, operating metrics, and trade-off analysis.

Ability to operate independently, create order without waiting for perfect instructions, and close loops reliably. You are used to driving multiple workstreams in parallel without anything slipping through the cracks.

Strong commercial and organizational judgment, ideally in a consulting, technology, data, AI, or professional services environment.

Comfortable working across Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Spain, USA and other Unit8 locations.

Fluent English; German, French, or Polish is a plus.

What This Role Is Not

Not an Executive Assistant role (calendars, travel admin, etc.)

Not a substitute for a functional leader like Head of Operations, Head of People, or CFO.

Not behind-the-scenes only. You'll need to influence senior leaders directly, sometimes pushing back on them constructively.

What We Offer

Opportunity to contribute to the growth of one of the leading Swiss data & AI consultancies

Work on cutting-edge data & AI topics

Option to partially work from home

Flexible working hours

Cross-office/ company-wide frequent events like off-sites

Dedicated budget for training

30 paid days off

Private health care and Multisport
