Vice President, Analytics, SMB FinTech Lender

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Analytics to lead analytics across the lending lifecycle. The role will set priorities and drive insights that improve conversion while managing credit losses across underwriting, portfolio management, and collections. Responsibilities include monitoring portfolio health, developing early-warning indicators and performance reporting, and owning loss and revenue forecasts that inform planning and business decisions. The VP will partner with cross-functional teams to test strategies, implement credit and pricing decisions, measure outcomes, and lead and develop a global team of analysts. The role also calls for using AI tools to streamline analysis and improve team productivity. Candidates should have a master’s degree in a quantitative field and at least 15 years of experience in financial services or fintech, including deep risk analytics expertise across underwriting, portfolio monitoring, collections, and forecasting. At least eight years of experience leading and developing analyst teams, including onshore and offshore staff, is required. Strong hands-on skills in Python, SQL, and Excel, experience with AI tools and large language models, and the ability to communicate complex analysis clearly are essential. Experience in commercial or small-business lending, including alternative financing, is preferred.
