Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational production chain, from planning and engineering through supply chain, production, installation, and commissioning. The COO will translate strategic and commercial ambitions into a scalable operation, strengthen coordination across functions, and improve project predictability, efficiency, and margins. Key responsibilities include developing integrated project, production, and capacity plans; setting priorities; and managing performance across delivery, quality, safety, productivity, lead times, and operational risk. The role also involves standardizing processes, clarifying management responsibilities, and driving continuous improvement through visible, hands-on leadership and close collaboration with commercial and project teams. Candidates should have a higher professional or university degree, preferably in engineering, technical business administration, or a related field, and extensive senior leadership experience in machinery, equipment manufacturing, capital goods, or a comparable project-based technical environment. Experience with engineer-to-order processes and the integrated management of engineering, supply chain, production, and installation is important. A track record in improving lead times, capacity management, operational excellence, standardization, and organizational scalability is required. The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding with pragmatic decision-making, clear communication, and the ability to build trust while holding teams accountable. Fluency in Dutch and English and willingness to travel internationally are required.
