The Company is seeking its first Head of Security to lead security strategy and execution across its engineering platform, infrastructure, cloud, and production systems. The role owns incident response end to end, including detection, response procedures, on-call readiness, and tabletop exercises. Responsibilities include strengthening identity and access controls, secrets and key management, network segmentation, logging, monitoring, and detection; managing third-party and supply-chain risk; and embedding security into engineering workflows. The Head of Security will also lead compliance planning, respond to customer security reviews, maintain threat and risk assessments, communicate risk clearly, and build the security team as the organization grows. Candidates should have at least eight years of security experience, including securing high-availability, internet-facing infrastructure at scale, and strong hands-on engineering skills. Deep expertise in cloud security, bare-metal and production environments, secrets and key management, and detection and response is required, along with experience leading through a security incident. Applicants should have built or significantly scaled a security program and have experience securing developer products, APIs, or platforms. The role calls for pragmatic judgment, high ownership, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively with engineering teams in a fast-moving environment. Experience leading a SOC 2 or similar audit, or security leadership at a high-growth startup, is an advantage.
