Vice President of Product Engineering

The Company is seeking a senior product engineering leader to guide the architecture, development, delivery, and ongoing evolution of enterprise software platforms. The role will set engineering strategy and technical roadmaps, translate business and customer priorities into scalable solutions, and oversee software quality, security, reliability, and predictable delivery. The leader will direct multidisciplinary engineering teams and collaborate with product, quality, validation, cloud, security, clinical, and business stakeholders. Responsibilities also include modernizing platforms, supporting regulated clinical workflows, and building a high-performing, distributed engineering organization. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, bioinformatics, information systems, or a related technical field, along with at least 12 years of software engineering experience and five years leading multiple teams or a complex engineering function. Strong Java expertise, practical familiarity with SAS and R, and experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, distributed systems, databases, CI/CD, and automated testing are required. Applicants should bring substantial experience in life sciences technology, clinical software, or an adjacent regulated healthcare environment, including knowledge of software quality systems, validation, and audit readiness. Executive communication, organizational leadership, and the ability to balance strategic direction with technical and delivery needs are essential; an advanced degree and experience with clinical data standards or major cloud platforms are preferred.
