Vice President, Surgical Services Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Surgical Services to provide executive leadership across hospital and outpatient surgical operations. The role is accountable for safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care, operational and financial performance, workforce strategy, growth, and responsible resource use across the perioperative continuum. Working in partnership with surgical and physician leaders, the VP will translate organizational strategy into coordinated priorities and plans for access, capacity, service growth, and performance improvement. Responsibilities include strengthening quality, safety, patient experience, operating room utilization, throughput, workforce engagement, and financial sustainability; overseeing budgets, staffing, capital investments, and regulatory readiness; and using performance data to guide decisions and corrective action. Candidates must have at least 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including five or more years in an executive or senior leadership role within a complex healthcare organization. They should bring experience leading surgical, perioperative, or similarly complex operations across multiple sites or service lines, partnering with physician leaders, and delivering measurable improvements in clinical, operational, workforce, and financial outcomes. A bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, industrial engineering, or a related healthcare field is required; a master’s degree in health or business administration and pediatric healthcare experience are preferred. The role calls for strong executive communication, analytical, financial, workforce-planning, and change-leadership skills, along with the ability to build trusted relationships and lead complex initiatives through collaboration and influence.
