Head of Research Platform Engineering

The Company is seeking a Head of Research Platform Engineering to spearhead the development of a next-generation research platform. This platform will serve as the cornerstone for the global investment teams, facilitating the creation, testing, deployment, and management of quantitative strategies on a large scale. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of this multi-year transformation, with a focus on building a firm-wide quantitative research and analytics platform from the ground up. Responsibilities include driving the development of capabilities in backtesting, signal generation, model lifecycle management, and productionization, as well as making critical architecture decisions and defining the long-term technology roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building large-scale research, analytics, quant, or investment platforms, with a strong background in platform architecture and distributed systems. Experience in quantitative investing, asset management, hedge funds, or capital markets environments is essential, as is a deep understanding of the software lifecycle from research to production deployment. The role requires a leader with strong technical expertise, particularly in Python and/or Java, and exposure to modern cloud and data technologies. The Head of Research Platform Engineering will also be instrumental in shaping the platform strategy, architecture, and team growth, and will work closely with senior investment and technology leadership on this highly visible initiative.
