Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance for its Japan cluster. This senior role offers high autonomy and impact, with the primary responsibility of leading the finance team and maximizing return on investment across all commercial levers. The successful candidate will be part of a stable business with a long history of operation and success in Japan, and will work with highly capable leadership and teams across all functions. The role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and strategic growth of the business in the region. Applicants must have a background in progressive finance leadership, with a specific focus on FP&A and business partnering. Experience in a B2C, e-commerce, or consumer goods environment is essential, as is a deep understanding of consumer unit economics and revenue modeling. The role requires a bilingual communicator, fluent in Japanese and with business-level English, who can effectively translate complex financial data into clear narratives for both local and global stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and a strong market knowledge of Japanese corporate tax, J-GAAP, and local payment ecosystems are also key requirements. The ideal candidate will be systems savvy, with experience in modern finance stacks and data visualization tools.
