Vice President of Commercial Lending

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Lending to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across commercial lending, from loan origination through portfolio management. Responsibilities include overseeing loan operations, credit administration, documentation, covenant monitoring, and collateral management while ensuring sound underwriting and timely decisions. The role leads and develops operations teams, drives process improvements and technology adoption, manages operational risk, and ensures regulatory compliance. The Vice President also collaborates across business functions, monitors performance through data and KPIs, and reports to senior leadership. Candidates should have at least seven years of progressive experience in commercial lending, credit administration, or loan operations, including five years managing operational teams and experience overseeing a commercial loan portfolio of $100 million or more. Deep knowledge of commercial credit underwriting, loan documentation, portfolio management, and applicable regulatory requirements is required; experience with construction, C&I, CRE, or SBA lending is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred, as are an MBA or other advanced degree; formal bank credit training is an advantage. Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with proficiency in loan origination and core banking systems.
