Head of IT

The Company is seeking a Head of IT to provide strategic leadership and enhance its technology capabilities across a multi-site European business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing infrastructure, security, and operational IT functions, with a focus on maintaining a robust and cohesive IT environment. This pivotal role involves leading and managing a UK-based IT team, setting IT standards and best practices, and improving infrastructure performance, including Wi-Fi, device setup, and operational reliability. The Head of IT will also be tasked with developing a joined-up IT and security strategy, supporting the movement towards stronger security standards, and liaising with senior stakeholders to resolve operational issues. Applicants for the Head of IT position at the company should have a proven track record of leading IT in a multi-site environment and a strong background in infrastructure to lead both strategy and delivery. Good knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Entra ID / Azure AD and Azure, is essential, as is familiarity with mixed environments spanning cloud, on-prem, networking, and end-user support. Experience working within Cyber Essentials frameworks and a pragmatic, approachable management style with strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills are also required.
