Head of Finance

The Company is in search of a strategic Head of Finance to oversee and lead its national financial operations. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the Country Managing Director and international executive leadership, playing a pivotal role in defining and driving the national business strategy. This executive-level position demands a professional with a proven track record in a top-tier financial leadership role within an international corporate environment, and a deep understanding of local and international financial frameworks, particularly Hungarian tax laws, statutory reporting, and local GAAP. The Head of Finance will be responsible for financial governance, reporting, and ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role also involves cross-functional alignment, board-level accountability, and the implementation of robust cost-control measures, performance tracking, and risk mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have exceptional people management skills, be fluent in English and Hungarian, with at least an intermediate level of German, and possess the ability to influence and manage stakeholders at both local and international levels. A university degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for a Chartered Accountant Certification. Experience in retail or a similar industry is advantageous, but not mandatory. The Head of Finance will also be expected to drive talent management within the finance division, fostering a culture of continuous development, accountability, and high performance.
