Vice President of Research

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Research to play a pivotal role in the strategic and entrepreneurial development of research affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a unified, enterprise-wide research infrastructure and leading the research strategy across the academic health system. This includes a focus on bench to bedside to community-engaged research, with the goal of significantly growing clinical trials, population health, and outcomes research. The role involves assessing current assets and opportunities, developing a comprehensive long-term growth plan, and building the necessary infrastructure to support and enhance research productivity. Applicants for the Vice President of Research position at the company should have a strong background in cross-disciplinary research program building, collaboration, and a proven track record of innovation in the research funding landscape. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading clinical trials and/or translational research and be adept at building a vision for the full spectrum of research within an academic health system. A doctoral degree (M.D., D.O., Ph.D., or equivalent) and a history of securing extramural funding are required. The role demands strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills to effectively work across the integrated academic health system model.
