Chief Legal Officer (CLO) Greater Miami, FL Area

The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Officer to lead and transform its legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs functions as the enterprise grows. The role includes advising senior leadership and the board on strategy, governance, risk, and capital activity; guiding commercial decisions and organizational change; and overseeing corporate, transactional, regulatory, and dispute matters. The CLO will manage regulatory relationships and compliance programs, strengthen governance processes, and build an effective legal operating model, team, and budget. Candidates must hold a JD and be an active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar, with eligibility to practice in-house where required. At least 15 years of relevant legal experience, including substantial senior in-house or legal leadership experience, is required. Applicants should bring broad expertise across corporate, commercial, transactional, regulatory, and governance matters, along with a record of building or transforming legal functions and partnering with senior business leaders. Experience in regulated financial services or insurance, consumer-facing services, business lending, automotive markets, and corporate finance is preferred. Strong judgment, executive communication, commercial pragmatism, and the ability to lead through growth and change are essential.
