Senior Vice President, Sustainability Risk

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Sustainability Risk. The successful candidate will be tasked with advancing and embedding the sustainability risk framework, leading risk identification, assessment, measurement, and regulatory implementation. This role is pivotal in strengthening the firm's ability to manage sustainability-related risks and requires a professional with a proactive, delivery-focused approach, and the ability to influence and collaborate across various functions and seniority levels. The Senior Vice President will be responsible for driving the execution and enhancement of the enterprise sustainability risk framework, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with business and regulatory expectations. They will also lead materiality assessments, develop sustainability risk methodologies, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement regulations and embed sustainability risk considerations into business processes. To be successful in this role, candidates should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management, sustainability risk, financial services, consulting, regulatory, or related disciplines. Expertise in sustainability risk identification, assessment, and related areas is essential, as is a strong analytical skill set and the ability to use AI tools for interpreting regulatory requirements and developing risk insights. The role demands a professional with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will have a background in executing risk management frameworks in a complex, heavily regulated organization and be adept at leading independently, challenging constructively, and operating with limited direction.
