Head of Business Development, C&I Solar

The Company is in search of a Head of Business Development to spearhead its expansion in the Italian market, with a specific focus on the C&I and SME segments and B2B photovoltaic solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the business development strategy, identifying and nurturing new opportunities, and managing the entire sales cycle. This strategic role involves building and maintaining long-term relationships with key decision-makers, managing complex negotiations, and contributing to the growth of the client and project portfolio. The Head of Business Development will also be expected to monitor market trends, competitors, and the regulatory framework to identify new opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to structure and finalize deals. Applicants for the Head of Business Development position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA being a plus, and have at least 15 years of professional experience in the energy, renewable energy, or photovoltaic sectors. A strong background in B2B business development, particularly in the C&I and Italian SME segments, is essential, as is an established network of relationships with C-level executives in the industrial, commercial, and energy sectors. The role requires a proven track record in generating and closing high-value commercial opportunities, experience in selling or developing photovoltaic projects and PPA solutions, and a strong ability to negotiate long-term contracts. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and be fluent in English. The position also demands the ability to operate effectively in international and multicultural contexts and a willingness to travel as needed.
