Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Managing Director to shape business strategy and lead all financial aspects across the UK and European business. This role demands a professional with a strong background in technical accounting, commercial decision-making, and strategic influence. The Head of Finance will be responsible for the full range of financial activities, including month-end and year-end processes, statutory audits, financial reporting, and maintaining a robust financial control environment. Additionally, the role involves championing process improvements, managing cash flow, and providing financial insight to support the company's growth and expansion plans. Applicants for the Head of Finance position at the company should be fully qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or ICAS) with a proven track record of leading a finance function within an SME environment. The role requires a candidate with strong technical accounting expertise, commercial acumen, and experience in leading and developing high-performing finance teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in international business, particularly across European markets, and experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, excellent communication, and stakeholder management abilities are essential. The Head of Finance should be proactive, hands-on, and possess strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for continuous improvement and an entrepreneurial mindset.
