Vice President, Azure Cloud Platform Engineer

The Company is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer with a VP level of experience to take on a regional role in a regulated, enterprise-scale cloud environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and enhancing the Azure platform, supporting both cloud-native innovation and the migration and modernization of legacy systems. This hands-on engineering position also involves broader influence over cloud platform strategy and close collaboration with various teams, including architecture, infrastructure, information security, risk, compliance, data, and audit. Applicants must have deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise or regulated environments, strong knowledge of Azure landing zones, management groups, and governance frameworks, as well as experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and container platform engineering. Proficiency in Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines is essential, along with a strong understanding of cloud security, zero-trust, identity, encryption, and access controls. The role requires experience in designing highly available, resilient, and disaster-recovery-ready platforms, particularly in the context of Azure networking, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Previous experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry is a must, and exposure to AWS or GCP is advantageous.
