Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional leadership of the accounting department, overseeing fixed asset, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial accounting, as well as tax matters. This role involves the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and acting as the central point of contact for tax advisors, auditors, and authorities. The Head of Accounting will also be involved in the development of compliance processes, business analyses, and statistics, and will actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the department. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a degree with a focus on finance and accounting or further training as a certified accountant, with a strong background in the field. In-depth knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), accounting, tax, and commercial law is essential.
